The Dr. Vithalrao Vikhe Patil College of IBMRD Central Library was set up in 1984 . The library building is located on the ground floor of Administrative Building and is spread over the area 210 sq.mt. with the Reading Hall having seating capacity of 100 students. The Central Library is divided in various sections such as: Property Counter, Circulation Section, Digital Library, Reprography Section, Periodicals Section, Newspaper Section, Book Processing Section, Stacking Section, Spacious Reading Hall.
To facilitate convenient and user friendly access to current, global and relevant information by identifying, acquiring, organizing and retrieving information in various formats (print & non print) to serve the information needs of the academic fraternity of Dr.V.V.P. College of IBMRD ,Ahmednagar to meet their teaching, research, consulting, training and learning requirements.
Library provides learning aids and information on all topics, as required by users.
The strength of the library is its digital collection of six database accessible from any networked computer within the campus which provides scholarly, company and industry information.
The library provide specified tools like EBSCO and J-Gate journal tital serch(A to Z), remote login(restrictedto internal user) and institutional repository serching.

1) Faculty and Students must make entry in the entry register before entering into the library.
2) Library users must carry identity cards to get entry and use of the library facility. He/ She must show identity card as and when required by authorized person.
3) The library card must be used only by the member to whom it is issued.
4) Silence is required in library and reading hall, loud conversation, standing in groups and discussions etc, is not allowed.
5) Library users should not act in any way which can disturb other users.
6) The use of mobile phones, personal audio equipments in the library is prohibited.
7) Smoking, consumption of food and drink (exception of drinking water) are not permitted in the library.
8) Use of eatables in the library is strictly prohibited. Almost care shall be taken by all to keep the library clean.
9) Users should not carry books from one rack to another rack and do not leave the books on the reading table after use.
10) All users are requested, newspaper is not allowed outside the library.
11) Users are responsible for complying with copyright act while using the library material.

Central Library maintains a book bank mainly of graduate level text books to help students belonging to economically and socially weaker sections of the society. The bank has two collections namely (I) Special Collection (BC) for SC/ST Students (ii) Technological Lending Library.
Students can borrow up to 5 books from this collection for a period of one semester. The library issues a Circular in the beginning of every Semester and the eligible students may apply to avail the benefit as per the schedule announced by therein.
The Central Library offers photocopying service to all its members, walk-in users and others.
Only single copy of journal articles and book chapters are provided for private study and research purpose.

The Photocopying Unit is available in library and its timings as follows:
9.30 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm – 5.30 pm from Monday to Friday
The textbooks / course books as recommended by the faculty are kept in the “Study Room Collection” near at the circulation counter book stack for the period specified by the faculty. These books can be used only in the library against Identity Card. Students can borrow one book at a time from this collection for an overnight study and return the same on the next day by 2 pm. A late fee of Rs. 10.00 per day is charged for overdue book (Rs. 20/- during examination period).
The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organized by the institute for the benefit of new students in the beginning of academic year. They are taken around the library to familiarize them with various resources and services available for them. Training sessions are also organized whenever a new product or service is introduced. Any user desiring to know more about library resources and service or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases etc. should contact Incharge, Reference service.Central Library also organizes orientation programme, training and workshops etc. for students and faculty working in IBMRD to help them update their knowledge and skills.
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is an initiative by seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) for creating course contents in engineering, science, humanities and social science.. NPTEL provides E-learning through online Web and Video courses. The mission of NPTEL is to enhance the quality of engineering education in the country by providing free online courseware. Over 250 courses are already available for viewing and 1000+ courses are being planned.
