FOREIGN LANGUAGE CELL (FRENCH & JAPANESE)
The Foreign Language Cell has been initiated from August 2009. 300 students were enrolled for French Language Course of 150 Hours. Classes were held on every Saturday.
We are in the process of Registration of Independent Foreign Language Institute & intended to be affiliated to University of Pune for the same. We are in process to be affiliated to University for Foreign Language Institute.

STATE LEVEL- “CURRENT TRENDS IN HRM”
To cater the need of globalized Knowledge based economy & Hypercompetitive business environment & to develop managers to overcome Challenges in the field of Human Resources, a State level Seminar on the theme- “Current Trends in HRM Practices” was organized on 15th & 16th February 2010 at Institute of Business Management & Rural Development. The focus of such a seminar was to highlight the role of today’s HR manager in view of. The challenges for HR in terms of management of HR on one hand & integration of its strategy on the other have increased widely. The focus of today’s HR manager in the subsequent recessionary trend is on enhancing retention & talent development strategies. The eminent speakers on this occasion were Dr.S.B. Kolte (Director General- IMS), Dr. V.V Rakhunde (Vice President- HR, Garware Polymer Ltd), Dr. V.V Rakhunde (Vice President- HR, Garware Polymer Ltd), Dr. Rajesh Jawlekar ( Sr. GM Endurance Technology Pvt. Ltd) Mr. Salil Pende (HR Manager, Nirlep Ltd, Aurangabad). The seminar proved successful under the leadership of Prof. Saptaranjan Kadam( Conveynor), Prof. Jayshree Kadam (Organizing Secretary) & Prof. Ekta Talwar (Organizing Secretary).
The Valedictory function was commenced by Dr. Y.K Alagh (President, P.D.V.V.P.F’S) & Hon. Shri Kapre Saheb (Trustee Member, P.D.V.V.P.F’S) Maj. Gen. U.S Abrol ( Secretary,P.D.V.V.P.F’S) , Dr. Arun Ingle (Director- IBMRD) The ceremony was enlightened by their valuable thoughts & motivated students.
NATIONAL LEVEL CONFERENCE
PDVVP Foundation’s Institute of Business Management & Rural Development, Ahmednagar organized a National Conference on 15 & 16 March 2010, which was sponsored by University of Pune The theme of the conference was “Marketing to the Bottom of Pyramid”, a concept by Prof CK Prahalad for attracting the attention of MNCs towards these markets in poor countries.
Participants from corporate, academics & students presented their research papers and findings. Best papers received prizes.The event was inaugurated by Prof Hansel D’Souza a well known social activist and marketer, in the presence of Shri V S Kapare, trustee, Maj Gen (Retd) U S Abrol secretary of PDVVP foundation and Dr Arun Ingle, Director IBMRD.
Shri V S Kapare in his speech explained the importance of emerging economies (BRIC) and the potential of the market at the bottom of pyramid. The concept of bottom of pyramid by Prof CK Prahlad, was briefed by Maj (Gen) US Abrol. In his inaugural speech Prof Hansel D’Souza mesmerized the audience. The message for development of entrepreneurial spirit was excellent & spellbound. The Market comprising of over 4 billion people at the Bottom of Pyramid is of a size of $14trillion.
The national conference at IBMRD was a great success, over whelming response of over 100 participants from all over the country. Dr Arun Ingle congratulated all the members of organizing committees and the students for their active participation.
ALUMNI MEET- 30 Jan 2010
We at Institute of Business Management & Rural Development are catering to the need of the hour by enlightening our students through the vast alumni base of 1600 who have been guiding the students every year by way of an Alumni Meet. Through the 23 Glorious years, we have practiced what we have develop a strong pool of alumni that can enhance the placement activities & cater the need of visiting faculty, special research proposal, assignment, to form EDPM cell wherein the alumni can give an insight to our students about business.

Amidst the changing paradigms and demanding global structure, India, in order to remain the front runner needs to focus on developing and training potential entrepreneur. The objectives of ED cell is providing comprehensive knowledge & develop competencies too start their own independent business. With an aim to provide training to potential entrepreneurs in the area of initiating their own venture, a Management Development Programme (MDP) was held by IBMRD in collaboration with Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) from 17th to 22nd March 2010 on the theme “Industrial Management

ACADEMIC PROJECTS / INDUSTRIAL VISITS
To groom the students in their respective specialization areas, to take up executive positions in business and industry. However, the participants are given sufficient inputs in the areas other than the areas of specialization enabling them to perform better and understand the needs of their counterparts from the other departments better. The Summer Training is accorded importance since it affords an opportunity to acquaint oneself with the real life business situations. The appreciation of the theoretical framework occurs the moment, it is applied to the practical situations. Industrial visits are organized each year for the MBA students, to acquaint them with practical knowledge of the functioning of an organization. The entire participant gets an opportunity to meet the entrepreneurs and share the knowledge.
TRADE FAIR @ IBMRD
Trade Fair Activity was conducted at IBMRD campus during 29/01/2010 & 30/1/2010. The inauguration function was presided by Hon Namdar Sau Shalinitai Vikhe Patil , President Zilla Parishad, Ahmednagar.
Sau Sudha Kankariya (Mankanahiya Trust) sponsored the event, Maj.Gen.(Retd) U.S.Abrol, Secretary PDVPP Foundation, Mr Abhijeet Divate, Deputy Director, Medical College & Dr Arun Ingle, Director IBMRD graced the occasion with their kind presence. The fair attracted 30 participants from the city and included large players like IDBI, YES Bank, Mahindra scooters and such. Nearly 10,000 visitors from and off the campus enjoyed the fair.
